ShareVis Process Developer's Extensions allow developers to programmatically interact with a ShareVis processes via a Web Service. (NOTE: The ShareVis Process Developer's Extensions are additional functionality and not to be confused with the out-of-the-box Web Service Plugin used by the Workflow).

Leverage ShareVis processes as the “conveyor belt” for information that interact with various systems:

• Have legacy applications programmatically populate and start new instances of Predefined ShareVis Process. For example, while working in a legacy financial application, automatically populate a ShareVis Web form and start the workflow process. Then have the process automatically write the results back to the financial application.
• Extend PLM/ERP and other system with flexible processes using. For instance, take a bill of material from PLM, let the developer extensions populate the form and workflow, route the information for approval, once approved have the information populate ERP for procurement.

The Developer’s Extensions for ShareVis includes the following:

• Start a new instance of a predefined or Ad-Hoc process
• Pass data to a Web form
